Digital Content Editor - WVU Tech (Beckley)

West Virginia University Institute of Technology (WVU Tech), a regional division of West Virginia University, is seeking candidates for the position of Digital Content Editor. This position is as an integral member of the WVU Tech creative team and will coordinate jobs with internal and external clients as needed. The Digital Content Editor will be reporting to the Graphic Design Senior and the Assistant Director of University Relations.

In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will:

• Identify ways to build WVU Tech's visibility and enhance its reputation through innovative use of social media platforms.
• Handle daily posting/management/engagement on University Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and other emerging platforms as identified.
• Develop monthly, quarterly and yearly reports for campus (UR) social media to gauge success.
• Develop and execute social media goals, campaigns and projects that align with department, division, unit and University goals.
• Collaborate with videographers, photographers, designers, writers, editors and others to deliver superb content for social and web.
• Record video and take photo as needed.

Work Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; with additional late hours, and occasional weekends. • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism or a related field required.

• Two (2) years of experience in day-to-day digital content management.
• Two (2) years of experience in professionally managing social media accounts.
• Two (2) years of experience interviewing, writing and editing.
