Primary responsibilities are preparation, coordination, and creation of print and digital materials and publications for Office of Marketing and Communications and assistance with other editorial and media-related duties in support of university mission.; Work hours: Mon-Fri; 8:00 AM-5:00 PM or as work requirements indicate.

Responsibilities:
-55% Provides graphic design of editorial and graphic materials for print and digital materials and publications, including brochures, flyers, advertisements and signs. Uses text, photographs, illustrations and other materials to design materials within Graphic Identity Standards and Publications Guidelines.
-20% Meets with client departments to discuss publications projects, expectations and possibilities. Provides rough drafts of graphic design for approval and makes adjustments as directed.
-10% Maintains bank of photos and graphics for use in developing materials. Art directs selected photo shoots. Assists in maintaining photo archive.
-10% Attends meetings, completes reports and completes other duties as assigned, including possible photography, videography and archiving.
-5% Performs other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:
-Bachelorâ™s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Two years of related experience in print and web-based communications.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Knowledge of writing, reporting and editing skills. Knowledge of graphic design, photography, web design, and social media.
-Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

Preferred Education and Experience:

-Bachelor's degree in art, graphics, marketing, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Two years of professional work experience in graphic design using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office Suite.
-Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Knowledge of writing, reporting and editing skills. Knowledge of graphic design, photography, web design, and social media.
-Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
-Experience preferred with social media of all types, photography and web design.

Compensation & Benefits:

The target base annual salary is $39,120 and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
