J. The Jewish News of Northern California (J.) is seeking a News Editor to join its award-winning team of journalists covering and informing the Jewish communities of the Bay Area and beyond. The News Editor works with the Editor-in-Chief to develop and shepherd stories, guide reporters and manage the newsroom. J. is known for covering breaking news of critical importance to the Jewish community, as well as community news from obituaries to leadership changes. J. especially values enterprise journalism, and supports journalists taking the time to develop sources around the Bay. In the past, the News Editor has spent approximately 50% of their time conceiving, vetting and assigning stories and managing the editorial schedule; approximately 25% of their time managing and edi
