Since 1987, Miami New Times has made waves with a blend of hard-news reporting and cutting-edge cultural coverage. Now we’re looking for someone to help us continue that tradition of bare-knuckle local journalism, which in recent years has included the George Polk Award for reporting on Major League Baseball’s steroid scandal and in previous years included the stories that served as the inspiration for the award-winning Netflix documentary Cocaine Cowboys. The ideal news editor will have a well-honed story sense, relevant editing experience, the ability to support and manage creative personnel, and an appreciation for New Times’ unique role in Miami’s media ecosystem. They’ll also possess flawless line- and copy-editing skills, a taste for the adrenalin
